My Boys are old school...
Like Batman...from the 1960's not to sure what to make of myself but I just don't want my kidos feeding on all that junk!
Kelly and I where talking tonight with some friends about the stuff we grew up watching like the "Smurfs" and someone made the point that smurfett was actually a spell that gargomel cast on her...weird!
Then one of the ladies pointed out that Smurfett would make comments like "so do you like what you see there boys"...just not sure I want my boy starting to think that way?
Maybe I am weird...I dont know...you can say well you watched it and turned out just fine! True but I also dealt with a lot of junk growing up...oh well just trying to protect my kidos! Maybe I am being a little over protective...?

I was told not to...but you know me!
So we pickup what she needs from Walgreens and bring it to her along with some food. She writes us a check for what we picked up for her and off we go! Then we go do some running around with the other fools that are out shopping today.
Stop at the bank to deposit a few checks to which the teller says she cannot deposit one of the checks cause it is not made out to us...what? Kelly and I are trying to figure out what she is talking about...until we get the whole deposit back we see that Leslie has made the check out to Walgreens instead of us...this is what we laughed at.
Yes we laughed pretty hard...not at her pain...but just a silly mistake! At this point I knew how much pain she was really in...sorry wessie!

just dont get it!
But what I don't get after 15 years of living up here (yep 1993...wow still feels like yesterday) is how you can wear a jacket in to church because it is sooooo cold out...then leave it at church when you leave?
Did the cold air not hit you the same? Are you just so covered by the glory of God that you feel no evil (aka: -4 below). Or where you in such a rush to leave you just forgot?
Ohh well one of the mysteries of the universe...yes I did just blame the coat epidemic on the universe!!!
Maybe its global warming?

Interesting...
Not to sure about the accuracy of this below...but it still rings true!
Bill Gates Advice For Kids
Bill Gates recently dished out at a high school speech about 11 things that he did not learn at school. He talked about how feel-good, politically correct teaching was created to a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.
RULE 1:
Life is not fair – get used to it.
RULE 2:
The world won’t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
RULE 3:
You will NOT make 40 thousand dollars a year right out of high school. You won’t have a vice president with a car phone, until you earn both.
RULE 4:
If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss. He doesn’t have tenure.
RULE 5:
Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping they called it opportunity.
RULE 6:
If you mess up, it’s not your parents’ fault, so don’t whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
RULE 7:
Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent’s generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
RULE 8:
Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life has not. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and they’ll give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
RULE 9:
Life is not divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself… Do that on your own time.
RULE 10:
Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
RULE 11:
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.
all in all it makes more sense in this day and age to quit the whining and just get after it!

made me cry
Take it all is a fast moving song and so is From God Above to which he loves to "rock" out and play air guitar to. Then comes the song From The Inside Out...a nice slow song to worship God to! These words are what I hear coming out of his mouth...with his little hands raised worshiping God.
I tell you all I could do was worship God with him and cry...
A thousand times I've failed
Still your mercy remains
And should I stumble again
Still I'm caught in your grace
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
In my heart, in my soul, Lord I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out
Your will above all else, my purpose remains
The art of losing myself in bringing you praise
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
In my heart, in my soul, Lord I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out
Chorus 2x
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
From the inside out Lord, my soul cries out

Good Food...
Chrissy saw this Italian joint featured on the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives show and wanted to make the treck! So from our neck of the woods (St. Michael / Rogers) we made our way over to White Bear to eat at:
When we got there it was nice and busy (good sign) and we immediately ran into a few folks we knew (Bryce and Lonaiah) so I knew the food would be good. Lets just say good place to eat and will be visiting it again!
