This animal helped make my coffee...I know just follow along with me, or him I guess!
This animal eats the ripe coffee cherry and then produces this...

Yes it is the poop from said animal and this makes the most expensive coffee in the world and this was where my coffee came from...anyone want to name it?

Oh fun. . . more trivia!!
Crazy thing, I think I just had this conversation with a friend of mine the other day.
Let's see... I know the coffee you are talking about comes from Indonesia. The animal is called a "something something civet." (Bummer, now I can't remember.) "Luwek" or something like that in the name of the coffee is what the Indonesian people actually call the animal.
Am I even close?

I still think that is INCREDIBLY disgusting and I'm SOOO glad that I didn't try any of it or I might have puked! :) Well, maybe not "puked" but I would have gagged a bit for sure! :)
you are right there Dana...here is the info on it!

That is just disgusting. I had no idea that this is not the only animal that aides in the coffee making process. N-A-S-T-Y!!!
Ok, so like I was eating a payday a few minutes ago and could not get this blog out of my head. . . nothing like a visual of animal poo coffee to spoil your appetite.

Well at least all the beans are gathered together in a nice, neat little pile...or loaf. Tell me they clean them before they grind them into coffee! :) And yes they do look like a payday. I actually thought of that right away when I saw the picture!!
