Nope, I have NO idea!
Is it by chance a carburetor?

good job anonymous...now who are you!
My name is Dana. I go to church with Nate & Evan, and Trent & Jess. I came across your blog as I was reading thiers.
I didn't want to put my name on my last post 'cause I didn't know if I was right.
I should've given myself more credit.
aww...come on Dana, believe in yourself a little!!!
now here would be the kicker...a carburetor to what?
whoa Dana! I'm impressed!!
Looks to me like some kind of 4 wheeler carb? Am I right?
Go Dana! I'm with Jess, I had NO idea either, my guess was going to be a motor! :)
this is totally funny I have three girls from arkansas figuring out that the piece sitting there is a carburetor...and no it is not from a 4 wheeler...but you are close!
it is for a 78 Yamaha SR500...the engine it attaches to is a single piston engine!
Good job Gals!
That makes sense. I should've guessed it was a bike. The pic at the top of your blog should have given it away. I know a dirt/racing bike is different from a roadie, but its all the same to a girl!!
dana give yourself a lot of credit cause the yamaha sr500 is both! they used the same engine for all three models they came out with "XT", "TT", and "SR" all share the same frame and engine design!
Good job girls!
Hmmm, we all knew what it was and is supposed to be. A simple carb -- as opposed to the complex carbs you can eat!!!!
good one gwen...
